Homemade Hummus

  • 2 cans (15-ounce) chickpeas, one drained and one liquid
  • ½ cup raw sesame seeds
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • Salt
  1. Place all ingredients except salt in your Vitamix (or comparable blender like the Nutribullet).
  2. Select Frozen Dessert program if your machine has one or just blend until you reach the desired consistency, slowly moving the setting from low to high. 
  3. Season salt to taste.  Serve with raw vegetables and pita chips or blue corn chips.
