This week my Rockstar Doggy Momma is Michele Lawson. Once her daughters were out of the house and the last pet crossed the rainbow bridge, Michele and her husband Clay vowed to remain pet free but it didn’t last long. Life got a bit topsy-turvy for the couple who has been married 30+ years.
Now, if this was posted by someone else there would probably be very little chatter about it but because I promote a healthy lifestyle, people seem to be taken aback. Why would someone who promotes health and wellness be talking about drinking too much and giving a hangover cure? Just because I’m healthy, doesn’t mean I’m boring!
This week I’d like to highlight a very special lady and Rockstar Doggy Momma Jennie Kroll Andersen. Jennie is a kind-hearted adventurer who loves the open road. She finds peace and beauty in exploring the natural world and unique settings.
If I asked 100 people if meditation is beneficial for the mind, body, and soul, don’t you think 100% would agree? If I asked the same 100 people if they practice meditation on a regular basis (or at all), I bet the number would be way less than half. So, the question becomes, if they know it’s good for them, why don’t they do it?
This week I’d like to highlight superwoman Kay Tea. Kay exudes confidence, strength and beauty, and has the most generous heart of gold. Kay served as a Chicago police officer for over 10 years and tirelessly protected our city, serving in the Targeted Response Unit and Fugitive Apprehension Team.
CONGRATULATIONS! You’re a new mom. Growing your family is such an amazing experience and an awesome blessing. Your smile is huge when people ooohhh and aaahhh over your new little one and your heart swells when you look into that beautiful face as he/she peacefully sleeps. Now let’s talk reality!
This week I’d like to highlight a truly heroic woman Arlene Schandler. Arlene is vibrant, spunky and truly enjoys everyday of her fabulous life. She is devoted to her children and grandchildren, but confided she felt a little lost when her devoted husband passed away.
Imagine a scale. Not the kind you stand on to weigh yourself but the kind you often see referred to as the scales of justice. One side of the scale represents the healthy aspects of a relationship and the other side represents the unhealthy aspects. Visualization is often a great way to analyze situations and make decisions; decisions that otherwise would continue to weigh heavily on your heart.
This week I’d like to highlight the most generous, kind-hearted woman I know Jeanne Pavlica. She not only has an extraordinary green thumb, but is Mother Nature incarnate. Jeanne is most at home in the natural world and finds joy in gardening wild flowers, organic vegetables and herbs.
WOW! Have you seen this news story, “10-year-old hosts confidence conference to help girls start school year”? Such an inspirational story. It’s simply remarkable that such a young lady is able to identify a situation and make the effort to do something about it.
