Meet this week’s dynamic Rockstar Doggy Momma Sarah Spain. Sarah is a lady of many talents: radio host, TV host, writer and philanthropist. Specifically, Sarah’s an espnW columnist and on-camera talent, a SportsCenter Anchor and a guest host for Chicago’s ESPN 1000.
Women talk about a lot of things but hormones rarely makes the list of hot topics. From the time our body begins to develop and we start our menstrual cycle to the time we see our doc about menopause and hormone replacement therapy and everything in between, hormones are in the spotlight yet we generally just keep it hush hush. After all, why ruin a good “girl’s night out” by talking about what weird things our body is are doing at this very moment.
Meet this week’s phenomenal Rockstar Doggy Momma: Christine Thoennissen. Christine suffered a tragic loss when her beloved first husband passed away when he was only 46-years-old. But as destiny would have it, she eventually met a wonderful man, whose first wife passed away the day after her husband.
Whoever came up with the concept of “one size fits all” really wasn’t thinking clearly. One size does not fit all and never will…it is impossible. You know what else doesn’t fit all? A health and wellness regime.
This week I’d like to highlight a truly amazing Rockstar Doggy Momma Dina Lynn. Dina is a Certified Transformation Coach and develops programs for individuals using a whole-food, plant-based diet. Dina teaches her clients to use food as medicine and encourages them to follow her example and “fall in love with fruits and veggies” as they truly are the key to healing, not to mention an abundance of energy and gorgeous skin.
You have heard me mention “mindless eating” on more than one occasion. Recently, I came across an article I though was extremely interesting. Maybe it was the title that caught my eye, “Google Study Gets Employees to Stop Eating So Many M&Ms” because you must admit it’s pretty intriguing.
In the words of Aristotle, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” So why is it that we are always trying to derail the habits that we know are good for us? Weekends, cheat days, this occasion and that occasion.
