Recovery Lifestyle Coaching for Professionals
Erin Clifford works with high-performing professionals including lawyers, doctors, and executives who have gone through treatment for substance use and/or addiction and are in recovery or have just finished a treatment program.
“Doing the work to get into recovery is highly commendable. I look forward to supporting you on your newfound journey to a happier, healthier life.” - Erin Clifford J.D., M.A.
What does a recovery coach do?
A recovery coach helps a person transition from treatment for substance use disorders and/or addiction into everyday life. Sessions focus on the present and the future, not on past indiscretions. New healthy habits and behaviors are introduced and a plan will be set to help incorporate these habits into daily life situations, such as in the workplace, at home, and at social gatherings.
What are the benefits of working with a recovery coach?
The primary benefit of recovery coaching is to provide support and education that fosters positive change to avoid relapse and help a person work towards new life goals. But there are also many more benefits of working with a recovery coach, including the following.
- Guidance in both physical and mental health aspects including learning self-care skills and how to build healthy habits, in the areas of nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress management, and mindfulness, which all play a part in a healthy lifestyle.
- Providing accountability and an added layer of support is key in helping people avoid relapse and reach newfound goals.
- In addition to learning support skills for maintaining sobriety, a recovery coach can help a person rebuild or repair work or personal relationships.
