Thank you for embarking on this wellness challenge with me – we are almost at the finish line!

I hope that some (or all!) of the challenges over the past month have resonated with you. I encourage you to start incorporating a handful of them into your daily life. As you master them, and they become habits, pick a few more to incorporate, and so on. Before you know it, you will be living a healthier and happier lifestyle from these small changes!

Here are the last two challenges.

January 30: Don’t eat after 7pm.

Late-night eating can adversely affect your circadian rhythm (your natural sleep-wake cycle). After dinner snacking also tends to be more mindless and can include unhealthy choices such as ice cream, chips, or cookies. Over time, this can lead to weight gain. A good rule of thumb is “once dinner is done, the kitchen is closed.” Try that this evening.

January 31: Write a letter of gratitude to someone.

Practicing gratitude in different forms is something I have touched upon a few times in this challenge because it is consistently associated with greater happiness. Gratitude helps people:

  • Feel more positive emotions
  • Relish good experiences
  • Build strong relationships
  • Improve self-esteem
  • Be happier and be present more

Healthy habits can vastly improve our health, wellness, and overall well-being.
