There can be a lot of confusion around what kind of diet or exercise program you should follow. Many times, when we start to make changes, we forget to celebrate the little wins. When changing your lifestyle, it’s important to fully adapt little lifestyle hacks or changes first and then build upon them as you go (versus you jumping into them cold turkey!).

For example, if you don’t eat vegetables, you can start by adding vegetables into your daily smoothies or strive to eat five servings of vegetables per day (1/2 cup cooked, 1 cup raw). This little hack can motivate you to eventually implement other strategies. It can help turn you in the right direction.

If you’re someone who never works out, you can get a Fitbit and start walking 10,000 steps per day and tracking it with your new device. If you’re walking 10k per day, even if you’re not doing any other exercise, that’s a huge win!

Another example can be if you replace sugary beverages with flavored water, adding things such as herbs or fruits. That’s another huge win!

These little hacks add up and before you know it, a year down the road you’ll be making more long-lasting big changes!
