Are you on the road to health, but struggle when your family and friends are drinking cocktails by the pool? Instead of drinking alcohol, which is extremely dehydrating, enjoy a summer infused water recipe instead. Remember for each glass of alcohol that you consume you need one glass of water to rehydrate. Pineapple, coconut, and lime infused water is a great health swap for a summer cocktail. You will get the sweetness from the fruit without the dehydrating effects of artificially flavored or sweetened cocktails. You can easily buy a water bottle with a fruit infuser and keep a pitcher in your refrigerator.
Ingredients:
● 1 cup pineapple chunks
● 1 cup coconut chunks
● 1 lime thinly sliced
Combine all ingredients in a pitcher with 2 Liters of water and refrigerate at least 2 hours or overnight. It will keep in the refrigerator for up to two days. Note that you may use plain sparkling water for a fizzy pick me up in place of soda or a cocktail.
