My husband, John, wanted stuffed burgers so I decided to cook him a healthier version. I made them with lean sirloin and Jarlsberg lite cheese, which is 50% less fat and 30% fewer calories than regular Swiss cheese. I served them on a sourdough English muffin because it’s fewer calories than a traditional burger bun.
I added caramelized onions to the burger and also swapped the fries for roasted green beans. If you’re not feeling the idea of the green beans, you could make sweet potato fries instead.
