Make the syrup by placing the sugar and water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar has completely dissolved and turn off the heat. Add a sprig of fresh mint to the syrup for flavor. Let it sit in there while you prepare the strawberries.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut off the tops of the peppers and clean out the seeds. Boil a pot of water and cook the peppers for 4-5 minutes. Drain and set aside. Heat a sauté pan with 1 Tablespoon olive oil. Season beef with salt and pepper to taste and sauté till cooked through. Drain excess liquid.
